Film Skool Rejekt's ft. Skyzoo-Soundcheck

I'm new on the "Film SkoolRejekts" and I am assuming you are too. These guys are raw,real hip hop. They are educated rappers, which is truly refreshing to have today. The first guys verse is sick, and his voice takes me back to the days of "A Tribe Called Quest" he sounds just like "Q Tip" and that is not a bad thing! The next two follow and the video is a nice simple back-drop.
The "Film SkoolRejekts" have their debut album out on I-tunes and damn is that thing dope! Its includes 20 songs and each one comes with the same lyrical power and the production to back it up. Its only $9.99 so go buy that album people.

Shepard Fairey:USA Network Character Approved [Video]
The modern art legend Shepard Fairey has recently been announced winner of the first-ever Character Approved Award, to honor individuals from a cross-section of creative disciplines who are positively influencing American culture.

You have probaly seen the Obey shirts at your local mall, but Shepard Fairey has been making his mark on the art world and world as a whole since 1989 with the "André the Giant Has a Posse" sticker campaign. He has been making stickers,paintings,and books ever since than that have been impacting the world greatly.

Fairey founded the Studio Number One design agency in 2003 which did album cover work for the Black Eyed Peas's album Monkey Business,the poster for the film Walk the Line,the covers for The Smashing Pumpkins' album Zeitgeist,Flogging Molly's CD/DVD Whiskey on a Sunday, and the Led Zeppelin compilation Mothership.
With Fairey's rising clientele came presidential hope full Barack Obama. This is where he gained true notoriety from the mainstream and public.His iconic HOPE image of President Barack Obama became a national sensation, recently being dedicated in the National Portrait Gallery at the Smithsonian. It was even on the cover of the "Time Magazine" Person Of The Year edition.
So who knew Shepard Fairey would turn from an unknown urban graffiti artist, to a famous artist of the unofficial campaign poster for The President of "The United States of America."
Also who knew the USA network was good for anything besides "Happy Gilmore" and old Adam Sandler movies.

Hollywood Holt "Hollywood" : Wins Freshman MtvU Video Contest [Video]
All of the campaigning by Hollywood Holt and his crew worked, Holt pulled it off and took the win. His video "Hollywood" will be played on MtvU for a week, but probably much longer than that. It will most likely make its way onto mtv2 and so on. Isn't that how The Cool Kid's "Black Mags" got its start?

New Supra Society (Terry Kennedy Pro Model): Spotted!
The new Supra Society (Terry Kennedy Pro Model) has been garnering so much attention from the internet latetly that I just pased up on the whole subject matter. Intill now. There has been talk of his pro model being realesed for months and ever since he was spoted at the "Maloof Money Cup" skating in Supra purple "Vaiders" there was talk that, that shoe was in fact his pro model sneaker. (Click all the pictures to enlarge them) But no that was not the case, do not doubt Supra for a second, they live for hype, it was all part of the plan. They relased snippets of his real pro model on the Supra Footwear site for months. Intill the other day Supra finnally offically realsed a picture of the new "Supra Societys" in "Grey Patent".The picture got about 150 comments. So there you have it I was going to leave it alone, Supra did the deal, the shoe is as hyped up as ever and it will be relased in March as part of the Supra Spring '09 Line. BUT WAIT! So I'm watching the "Pepsi Super Bowl Smash" on Vh1 tonight, and what do I see? Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy dancing all around stage in Purple "Supra Society" Tk Pro model shoes.

Supra never fails to amuse me with the hype. But Pete Wentz is an avid Supra fan... he is never seen not wearing them and he did get 29 pairs of limited addition "Vaiders" made for his 29th birthday. (Lil Wayne rocks one of those pairs, but hes a whole 'nother story)
The hype is rolling for TK's fist pro model sneaker faster than ever and I am dying to know if you guys even think these shoes are hot!

This is far from a political blog, and I am far from a political analyst, but are our hopes on the newly elected President Barack Obama too high? I get it, he is not like all the other Presidents on that poster you have in your History class. He is young,hip, half black.Is he really different though? We will just have to wait and see is all I'm saying.
Anyway back to the video,this track has great lyricism, and the background video is very moving. Great material always comes from Rhymefest,Saigon and Haffa.

Asher Roth- "The Reading"; no wait Roth killing "I Love College" [Video]
I was going to post the some-what new song "The Reading" by Asher on here. So I stopped by his Myspace page to pick it up and what do I see; Roth completely killing "I Love College" on "Last Call With Carson Daily." The energy was insane, and the crowd was vibing off of it 100 percent. So I got a little side-tracked and posted "I Love College" instead of "The Reading", but please don't tell me Asher Roth can't rock a crowd...
Oh yeah and here is the track the post was supposed to be about Asher Roth- "The Reading"- Asher hits this track hard with lyrical content for the haters who say he is nothing more than a gimmick rapper.

WERDPLAY is a rapper, and a crazy one at that. Don't get fooled by his looks.
He is in "Blestenation" a rap group from New York City, which is signed to Geffen Records, so check that out too. "My Big Wheel" is just a crazy track all around, ill beat, sick lyrics and production from Chuck Inglish from The Cool Kids. He also did a funny promo video for the track knocking all those lame rappers who make dances for their songs. Werdplay's new dance for "My Big wheel" video.

Hollywood Holt's "Hollywood" video is up for one of those stupid mtvU video contests, where the winner with the most votes gets their video played on mtvU. "Every week five videos go head-to-head on The Freshmen for your votes, with the winner getting a spot in rotation on mtvU." So anyway, Holt is campaigning all over the Internet for your votes, even making a YouTube video, so what the hell vote for the guy, he deserves it...right?
The Chad Muska Pro Model Skytop Magnetas just dropped as part of the new Supra Spring 09 Collection. The SkyTops won the "Sneaker Of The Year" from complex magazine for a reason. These shoes look like they are right out of the jungle, you could strap these on and take down a lion. These are definitely not for lames who are afraid to stand out in the crowd...
