XXL Announces Freshman ‘10 Live Concert

It’s time for XXL’s new Freshman class to show and prove in front of a live audience. In celebration of the release of the 10 Freshman for ‘10 issue, XXL has partnered with MTV2’s Sucker Free and New York City’s Highline Ballroom to present a special, one-night-only concert, titled, Freshman ‘10 Live, showcasing this year’s new breed of hustlers.I'm pretty sure I am going to be at this event, although I don't like any of these artists enough to go to one of their shows (besides Nipsey Hussle) this show is gonna be off the charts and provide endless content to be captured. Don't get me wrong here... there are only a handful of artists that I support enough to take the time and money to go to one of their shows. This also gives me an excuse to talk about the new XXL freshman class. If you followed the release of the mystery freshman freestyles on TMG over the past few weeks than you know I was not pleased with the selections. Now that I have given the mixtape a few listens I am definitely down with all of the artists on the list (except for you know who) and will soon be adding them to the link section over there to the right. What's that mean? They will all be in steady rotation on TheMaskedGorilla.com for now on. I obviously knew these artists before the list and posted there material on here in the past, but now they all get the free hall pass onto TMG with the original ten.
The show, scheduled to take place on March 31 at 9:30 p.m., will feature performances by Pill, Nipsey Hussle, Jay Rock, Donnis, Big Sean, and Freddie Gibbs, along with special surprise guests and DJs.
