NEW MIXTAPE: Big Sean – Detroit

You may not even realize, but it's been over two years since Big Sean put out his last mixtape 'Finally Famous Vol.3.' With a debut album, multiple radio singles, tours, TV appearances, and endless co-signs since then, you would figure Big Sean has nothing left to prove.

However when an underground mainstay goes mainstream, that's furthest from the case. Big Sean is often refeffered to as a "gimmick," or "corny," with his punchline delivery & catch phrases, boi. With 'Detriot' Sean is out to prove that he hasn't gone the way of Wiz Khalifa, B.o.B, or Nicki Minaj, regardless of how popular he has gotten.

    Can’t call Wiz mainstream then say Sean isn’t… As soon as you do a song with Chris Brown you’re mainstream and Big Sean already did that

      Big Sean also did a song with Justin Bieber hah. This very brief write up implied that Big Sean has gone mainstream, and he’s trying to prove that he can still bring it regardless.

        I mean he probably gets 50k for the bieber verse, publishing, and performance money. So he’s not going mainstream since he just wants to get a lot of damn money.

          I feel you. I couldn’t care less if an artist is “mainstream” or not, regardless of their status the only thing I care about is if they make music I enjoy.

    What a disappointment can’t listen to any tracks on here except RWT and Higher. If his album is like this, he can forget it. asap rocky best not be another disappointment as well.
