On December 9th, 2014 J. Cole released his third studio album 2014 Forest Hills Drive through Dreamville, Roc Nation, and Columbia Records. Just about 4 months later, after selling an additional 10,700 copies this past week, Cole's album has officially went platinium.  With J. Cole's 2011 debut Cole World: The Sideline Story currently sitting at 735,000 copies sold and 2013's Born Sinner at 720,000 copies sold, 2014 Forest Hills Drive is his first platinum album. 2014 Forest Hills Drive is the first hip hop album without any features to go platinum since 1989.
