Kendrick Lamar Might Be Releasing A New Album This Year
Last week Top Dawg Ent. CEO Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith a.k.a. Dangeroo Kipawaa confirmed on Twitter that ScHoolboy Q's new album will be released before the summer. With news of Isaiah Rashad's debut album dropping this year too, Tiffith decided to outline on Instagram a schedule for the entire Top Dawg roster.
ScHoolboy Q, SZA, Isaiah Rashad, and Ab-Soul are all slated to release projects in 2016. While Jay Rock is listed as being in the ER, the status of Kendrick Lamar's new is simply "???". Kendrick released his debut studio album 'good kid, m.A.A.d city' on October 22, 2012 and nearly 3 years later released his followup album 'To Pimp a Butterfly' on March 16, 2015.
Along with a possible album from Kendrick, TDE is also apparently ready to release projects from 2 new artists this year. As if all of that isn't enough, a Black Hippy album is being "prayed" to be released in 2017.
