Today, GQ Magazine released their annual Man of The Year issue. As they do every year, GQ handed out several awards such as Radio Personality of The Year, Legend of The Year and Rapper of The Year. This year, West coast rapper Kendrick Lamar was honored with the award for Rapper of The Year. Along with the award, Kendrick sat down with GQ for an interview. The interview took place shortly after Kendrick had released his "Control" verse. Kendrick was asked about his relationship with Drake, who had critiqued his "Control" verse on more than one occasion. The Compton rappers response seemed uncertain when he said their relationship was, "Pretty cool," then added, " I mean, I would be okay if we weren't." Kendrick was also asked why he attended Diddy's MTV VMA after party, an event where Diddy and J. Cole supposedly got into an argument over his "Control" verse. K. Dot's response, "I only go when there's a point. Usually the point is just niggas drinking. But walking through the club the week after I released the 'Control' verse? That's a point!"
