King Of The Jungle Interview w/ October’s Winner: Danny Frisch (Video)

Every week dozens of never before heard rappers post their music to The Jungle, The Masked Gorilla's revolutionary public submission platform. Chosen by users and fans alike, only one post makes it out of The Jungle every week while the rest of the submissions are deleted forever.

Danny Frisch didn't only make it out of The Jungle though, he went on to win the Rumble In The Jungle freestyle battle against the three other winners of October to become the King Of The Jungle. 

We caught up with the 20 year old Long Island rapper to talk about the process of making it out of The Jungle, winning the Rumble In The Jungle freestyle battle, his competition, what advice he has for future rumblers, and his future plans now that he will be posted on TMG regularly.

      dude this was basically about how well u market and promote yourself… if it were not that way.. there would be a panel of judges instead of people voting…just enter the next competition, its all good

        it is, and then again it isn’t, if u look at the random voting from across the country danny frisch dominated, esp the west coast, so yea he did get mad votes from his friends, but he also got EVERY vote from every neutral third party listener, and btw coy, everyone knows how u can refresh your phone and keep voting for yourself, 300 votes in the last day my ass, and maybe u don’t totally suck, but that shit u posted was pretty whack dude, it wasn’t original, like did you really think you would win with that?

          i made an event of Facebook and invited everyone from my school… instead of sending people to the masked gorilla page, i sent them to the micropoll page (http://www.micropoll.com/a/mpview/1085352-981476) and told them to vote for coy… what that does is eliminates the possiblity that the voter will listen to either of our entries and simply vote for me because i asked them to… and i dont have internet on my phone btw…i get that it sounds weird but it truley wasn’t… i started sending ppl to that link a couple of days before the competition ended… and as for why i sent that video in was because my first submission wasn’t accepted by the TMG creator… i wish you all could have seen it but its whatever… but i didn’t have time to write because i found out about the competition the night i was working on an English paper that was due the next morning… so i was already in bad shape for the cypher… so i just recorded that video the day of at around 4:55pm and uploaded the video at around 5pm and the closing deadline to post was at 5… if i didn’t upload something i would be disqualified from the comp and i didn’t want to go out like that… this is where i have to disagree though, that song i uploaded was a verse to a song that i am yet to record called “the rain”… its about anything that makes you feel down or bad but then you don’t always have to associate that feeling with something bad and use it as motivation to make something good out of it… and you say its not original, but i bet the only argument you have to say its not original is because i said “make it rain”… I’m sorry that the average rapper overuses that one line, i cant help it… i don’t do this just for the money… will the money be good later on?? yes but that’s not my motivation.. i was just saying that I’m trying to bring my shadows of troubles to the light with this talent and soon it’ll all pay off… what i don’t understand is how you see a young person trying to make moves and better himself and that what he stands for is so much more meaningful than just being a rapper who talks about himself to brag… and that he made it this far in the competition, and all you all could say is that, “he sucks. he is whack, he is not original.. he cant rap…he cheated..his video sucked”… but you cant say keep up the good work Coy, and try harder next time to really compete in the competition..instead all you guys do is assume the worst from people and come to a conclusion without even trying to ask me what happened…or even try to listen to my music before you just blatantly say that i suck… and WestCoastTheFreshCoast, I’m not really directing this at you because at least you slightly understand..but still, to the rest of you all… you know, i don’t even got any more to say… i can only take this as experience… another thing to write about… i hope you all will soon be Craters in the future…. don’t know what a Crater is?…just take a look around my website http://coygoodett.tumblr.com … that’s all i got to say… thanks TMG for letting me in the contest from the get-go anyway…
