Macklemore and Ryan Lewis couldn't have asked for 2012 to go any better. The duo managed to create a critically acclaimed debut album, which was free of samples, to land at the number two spot on the Billboard 200 with 74,530 copies sold in its first week. However, it looks like the best is yet to come for these guys as their single, "Thrift Shop," has officially hit platinum status. Just this past week the single was downloaded 304,000 times, which made the singles total sales 1,117,000.
