A few years ago, with zero money or ties to the music industry, I started a music blog on my mom's computer because I cared about emerging artists that literally no other publication were covering. It turns out a lot of kids care about these artists. 8 years and 20,000 posts later, we've come a long way from my mom's computer.  We discovered and produced Mac Miller's first ever video interview when he was still in high school. We interviewed Kendrick Lamar, Big Sean, Action Bronson, Joey Bada$$, and Freddie Gibbs early in their careers. We started a concert series that produced Vince Staples' first ever headlining concert, Yung Lean's first Los Angeles concert, and countless other sold out concerts from artists like $uicideboy$ and Lil B The Based God. We were the first outlet on the internet to cover some new artist you might have heard of called Lil Yachty. We were under investigation from the White House. We smoked blunts with Lil Wayne. Our clothing line is in stores. This journey has been fucking insane. Masked Gorilla has become a driving force in emerging artists' careers, the definitive destination to discover new artists before they are featured anywhere else on the internet. We're the last independent hip hop publication without day jobs in the music industry.  We've been a pirate ship circling the music industry for the past 8 years. Next year, we're blowing shit the fuck up.  We worked hard over the last few months to deliver you the most clean viewing experience possible. We have .GIFS! We're still working out some minor issues, we're still implementing some new features, the site will consistently improve from this point forward.
