Although his name may not be necessarily be familiar to the general public, Johnny Shipes is one of the more powerful figures in the independent hip hop scene. He owns and operates Cinematic Music, who is home to a handful of artists from the TMG Top 50. So for example, when Big K.R.I.T.'s in town and I want to link up, he's the man I call.
