Troy Ave Releases Joey Bada$$ Diss Track, Makes Fun of Capital Steez’s Suicide
Last month Joey Bada$$ released a new single called "Ready," where he took a shot at fellow New York rapper Troy Ave with the line" "60k first week for the Badass. 200k to this day I know you niggas mad. With the 80/20 split my nigga do the math. My nigga Kirk just outsold Troy Ave." The line is retalation to Troy calling out Joey on Twitter late last year for being "fake independent" after Joey claimed on Twitter to be the "#1 Independent Hip Hop artist/brand in the world."
If you're familair with Troy Ave, you already knew he wasn't going to miss out on an opportunity for free press by responding. With that being said, it is shocking in the manner he did respond.
Troy released the below diss song "Bad Ass," where he responded to Joey's claim about outselling him, but also took it to a whole different level by commenting on the late former Pro Era member Capital Steez with the lines: "Don't get suicidal like ya friend, here's a casket. Steez burning in Hell, my burner's in my belt. I'm really killing shit, you niggas killing yourself. Fucking weirdos, off the roof, "Steer clear yo! "This niggas tryna fly, he think he a superhero. Splat man! Fuck you and that man."
The entire Beast Coast comprised of Pro Era, Flatbush Zombies, The Underachievers, and A$AP Mob, have all come out in support of Joey and the late Capital Steez. With that being said, we assume this isn't the last time we'll be talking about this beef.
