UNMASKED: Mac Miller (The Masked Gorilla Interview) [Part 1]

What separates The Masked Gorilla from about 95% of hip hop blogs out there is that we don't just report hip hop news, we are apart of the very scene we cover. The bi-montly 'Unmasked' feature is an in-depth video-interview series, featuring popular rappers from the TMG Top 50. Check out the latest episode of our exclusive series below.

As some of you may or may not know, The Masked Gorilla shot Mac Miller's first ever video interview when he was a high school senior. The interview was a memorable step in Mac's career, so much that to this day he stills remembers what he was wearing that day. Fresh off releasing his 'High Life' mixtape, he had about 6,000 Facebook fans. A year and a half later we met up with Mac for a second time, who now has 1,400,000 Facebook fans, to discuss his rise to stardom among other topics including his VMA 'Best New Artist' snub. Part two of our exclusive video interview with Mac drops next week, where we talk to him about signing to a major record label, why an Atlantic Records representative was sending out his "Donald Trump" single and how many records he thinks his debut 'Blue Slide Park' album will sell first week.
